Southern Pacific Digital has spent a great deal of time and resources into developing a new philosophy behind how websites are designed and how people interact with websites. What we are proposing is a fundamental change of user's habits and changing the face of the web in the years to come.

As much as it is a simpler way of navigating through a website, we acknowledge that the experience is a highly foreign experience. The conventions of clicking on a website have been ingrained into users for many years and our proposal may seem quite daunting.

To navigate, you simply have to point to where you want to go and avoid using the click on your mouse. When you hover over a button, you will see a box pop up on the side of the button to confirm your request. Simply hover your cursor the 'GO' action and you'll notice the page load. Ideally we would like to eliminate this step in the future, but for the time being we'd like to make it as easy as possible for everyday users not familiar with this process.

Websites are becoming highly complex as they become more powerful technically and vital to the function of any business. As much as websites are becoming more sophisticated, users are becoming more impatient - users seek content on demand and will get frustrated if they can't find what they're after.

The idea of removing the click process may seem farfetched initially, however it fundamentally changes the viewing experience. It is natural for users to point to their destination, however the click function may be frustrating if a user has to sift through multiple pages. By removing the click, you simply have to point to where you want to go without relying on the repetitive motion of your index finger.

Southern Pacific Digital has spent several months researching and developing an appropriate solution to improving the web experience for users. We believe that the clickless theory is an easier way to navigate through a website and users will notice the difference and prefer clickless navigation in the long run. Intuitive design is something Southern Pacific Digital strives to deliver and believes will become a more prevalent factor in the future. This solution is by no means perfect, but we feel that now is the right time to at least experiment with it and refine it for use in other websites.
